Lasithi Region
Lasithi is the easternmost region of the island of Crete, with area of 1 823 km2 and population of approximately 80 000 citizens. It is famous for its stunning beaches and mild climate all over the year.
Contrary to the capitals of other Crete regions which bear the same name as the region, capital and largest city of the region of Lasithi is not called Lasithi but Agios Nikolaos.
